Comedian and writer Carol Leifer worked the stand-up scene in the 70’s with comedians like Paul Reiser, Jerry Seinfeld, and Larry David. She wrote for Seinfeld, has appeared on shows such as Curb Your Enthusiasm and in 2010 published a memoir: When you Lie about Your Age, the Terrorists Win. Terry Gross of NPR’s Fresh Air interviewed Leifer about her book and the transition from being a happy hetero for much of her life to becoming a lesbian in her forties.
