As the Civil Rights movement reaches full fervor, there appears an unsung hero: a black mutant named Mr. Expendable, endowed with the special power of dying to establish the threat. Also, another black mutant, who has not one but two super powers: stripteasing, and betraying her friends. Let it never be said that X-Men excludes African-Americans, but merely that it includes them in the most demeaning way possible. And isn’t that what Civil Rights is all about? Right?
