I wanted to say I don’t know what to think about this video, but I do. It is very funny, and yet I feel uncomfortable that the humor revolves around the narrator having exaggerated gay mannerisms. Correction: I feel like I should feel uncomfortable.
South Park can’t offend my sensibilities because Parker and Stone have never played the man behind the curtain. They are visible and they are good people. Something like this is different. Maybe the narrator is trying to make a point, maybe he isn’t. Does it matter? I want to say if something is funny then it doesn’t matter, but maybe the real question is why do I find it funny? I think I smell a dissertation brewing.
