Divinity School Introduces Study Abroad Opportunity In Heaven

NEW HAVEN — Dean of Yale Divinity School Gregory Sterling announced yesterday that starting this summer, Yale students will have the opportunity to take part in a two-month cultural immersion program in Heaven.

“We are extremely excited to kick off ‘Yale At The Pearly Gates,’” Sterling wrote in an email to Yale undergraduates. “This will certainly be a transcendent experience for any student, be he Lutheran or Catholic, Protestant or Presbyterian. I guarantee that once their summer in heaven is over, students will be dying to return. Haha, get it?”

While all students are welcome to apply, preference will be given to sophomores and juniors who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The cost of the program, at $8,500, is steep. Fortunately, for those who would find the cost prohibitive, Yale has also introduced a less expensive “7 Minutes in Heaven” experience with President Peter Salovey.
